In order to register for 2020 F&E managed markets and events (Linden Hills Farmers' Market, included), businesses must re-new or become an F&E member annually. Businesses are required to re-apply every year, as permits, insurance and tax forms must be re-filed annually.
*Membership replaces the "application" process from previous years.
As you get to know us - we want to get to know you! Please provide a few details about your talents and what you plan to promote or to sell with us, along with your website info, social media profiles and any imagery that best describes your business. To help you spend less time filling out forms, and more time at market - we've changed our application to an annual membership. By becoming a member early in the year, you get advance notice of upcoming market registrations, lowered stall fees and are provided opportunities to meet, mingle and learn from your fellow cohort. Then when you are ready to sell, you simply upload those below required documents. Easy & fast!
Any Minnesota, Iowa or Wisconsin farmer or rancher that grows produce, plants or proteins. Farmer co-operatives or food hubs welcome.
Any food or beverage maker that produces packaged food, ready-to-eat foods and/or operates a food truck
Health and body product makers
Pet food makers
Cottage food makers
Packaged food or cottage food makers permitted by the State of Minnesota, Minnesota Department of Agriculture and or by the City of Minneapolis
For some markets, F&E does register makers, vintage sellers and artisans*
*If you are an artisan or crafter, and interested in the Linden Hills Farmers' Market or Plate & Parcel Holiday Market, you are asked to reach out to Minneapolis Craft Market.
All members before selling with our markets are required to documents to conform to city ordinances and state laws. These three forms are: MN ST 19 tax form, a city/state approved food permit to sell, and an insurance form listing F&E as a certificate holder. Any member that does not provide these documents before their first date of sales will forfeit their membership fee and any registration fees. These documents help protect your business and must be submitted annually.
Any business selling food and/or beverages are required to carry a permit to legally do so at our markets. Farmers are not required to carry a permit to sell in the State of Minnesota. More information about permits can be found here: City of Minneapolis, State of Minnesota and/or Minnesota Department of Agriculture Cottage Food Registration.
All vendors are required to carry liability insurance to sell at our markets. This helps protects you and your business. More information about insurance can be found here. Frank & Ernest Foods, 2036 Highland Parkway, St. Paul, 55116 must be listed as a certificate holder. For a sample form, go here. Please go to your insurance carrier to secure this certificate.
All vendors are required to upload a Minnesota ST-19 Tax Form. That form can be found here. Please list Frank & Ernest Foods as the operator of the event. A business ID is not required to submit this form.
This fee is not reimbursable in most cases. If you have questions, please read through our FAQs pages or contact us.
1. You'll be added to our F&E Member Newsletter, and you'll see this a few times a month. This includes up-to-date details on markets and events, along with information on workshops, hang-out happy hours and more.
2. We encourage you to become an F&E Group Member on Facebook. This is a great way to stay connected to your fellow F&E Vendors, too!
3. You are now welcome to register for any and all of those events and markets that work best with your schedule!
There is no requirement to register for every market or every market date. Register for as many or as few dates as you like! Check out our "Registration" tab to see what markets we currently have openings for. We ask that you become acquainted with our Market FAQS pages, as well. These include info on set up, take down and policies and procedures on all those markets we are currently registering for.
